Performance Workshop

“Honoring Cultural Diversity through Collective Vocal Practice” Performance Workshop

Sunday February 19 from 1:30PM to 4:00PM at SFU Woodward’s (4th Floor, Room 4210) 149 West Hastings, in downtown Vancouver.

This workshop, which is free and open to all, will be co-facilitated by Syilx Elder Delphine Derickson, Nêhiyo Itâpsinowin Knowledge Keeper Joseph Naytowhow, Syilx MFA students Corinne Derickson and Mariel Belanger (UBCO), PhD students Claire Fogal and Julia Ulehla (UBCV) and Occitan artist-scholar Virginie Magnat (UBCO). We will engage in collective vocal practice and share songs from our diverse traditions and cultural legacies. Please confirm your participation by Friday February 17 (virginie.magnat@ubc.ca).
